Review: Rarehosts web hosting
It was around this time last year when I was looking for a cheap web hosting re-seller, to compliment my web design business. I found Rarehosts on eBay. Rarehosts was based in Wales, and run by a chap called Matthew, who responded to my many support requests very quickly. I couldn’t fault Rarehosts, and I was more than happy with the price I was paying.
In recent months, Matthew sold the business to Rebelnetworks, and the problems began - serious problems. My sites became unavailable for hours on end, and there was nobody to contact when these problems occured. I was regularly fobbed off with lies - they completely denied that my sites had any downtime - yet even their own site was (and still is) regularly unavailable for hours on end. I lost a lot of customers because of Rarehosts - and guess what: I don’t reccomend them!
My advice to anybody looking for a good value web hosting package is to steer well clear of Rarehosts, and look for a reputable hosting supplier such as Heart Internet, who have been very good to me so far.
